Does anyone have any advice on Real Estate development careers?

I currently live in Philadelphia, graduated from college a few years back and am interested in a career in real estate development. I don’t have much experience but learn very quickly. Any advice, regarding this topic, would be really great!!

Buying first property/ real estate investment, advice please? Land or Condo?

Im contemplating buying my 1st property in 2009. I am in a serious dead-end between choosing a Condo in a densely populated, high night-life, downtown city, waterfront area ….or….leaning towards a house in a more rural area with more than a handful of acres. Assuming both of which would be the same price after pricing and taxes and insurance, which would be the better longer-term investment?

Advice – Graphics software for real estate marketing?

I create custom marketing pieces and ads for realtors. I’ve been using Microsoft Publisher 2007 and feel if I had better software I could feel better about my work especially since we are becoming increasingly high end with our listings. I don’t necessarily want to do graphic design but I really enjoy desktop publishing and want to keep learning and apply it to the real estate field I’m in. What software do you recommend?
