What work can an 18 year old with a real estate license find?
So I asked some adults and they said real estate groups probably wouldn’t hire me. But my Economics teacher at school said that there might be a chance I could work through the internet. What do you think? I’m in a tight money situation and I want to utilize my new license to the best of my advantage.
P.S. I know the housing market isn’t so hot right now…

Talk to every real estate agent you can and see if anyone needs a licensed assistant. You will get paid for the hours you work, and have a chance to learn the business from an experienced agent. I had a 21 year old male assistant who wanted to get into the business – he worked for me for a year or so. I had a family emergency and ended up handing all my business to him – he closed the deals we had going, sent me my part of the money and ended up becoming quite a successful agent!

getting hired as a real estate agent is one thing – actually making money is another- you only get paid when you are involved in a house sale – so you could go months before your first paycheck and more months between paychecks – especially your first couple of years. BUT – you can’t really work it part-time – you have to be available at all kinds of hours for showing houses, dealing with buyers and sellers, etc
