While visiting a gated community called Grand View Estates I was invited to go on a go car ride to parts unknown. Many surprises awaited me as I sped upward on the winding roads at Grand View Estates. We passed the equestrian center soon after departure from the guest house then the Caribbean adventure park. As we went higher I never knew when we past the boundaries of Grand View Estates then I saw something very strange, what was a logging truck doing up there? We kept going higher until we found a good resting spot. The view stretched as far as the eye could see. I was told I could see Nicaragua from there. If there were boundaries to how far we could go I never reached them. What a liberating experience! I hope to do a horseback ride next time. Grand View Estates is a resort style, gated community located in the hill country about 30 minutes from the Caribbean Ocean. With 640 acres, it’s the largest residential Real Estate development on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Home lots range from 1 to 5 acres and are priced from $50000.
